Dog Training Basics
Each of us at least once in a life had to observe a situation when a puppy tearing from a leash walks its owner. The owner of the dog, resigned to his fate, dutifully runs after his pet. Such a situation quite often causes hidden smiles of passers-by. How to make your four-legged friend grow up a well-educated dog?
Usually raising a dog is based on the general principles of development applied to any breed. This is actually not the case. Each dog has its own character, and this character is divided into two components. The first part is the ability to learn new knowledge and the second, of course, the desire to learn.
Know that as soon as you bring this little fluffy lump home, you started raising your dog. We all know that in the wild a detachment of the canine family lives in a pack. It is also known that each pack has its own leader who regulates the relationships of individuals, allowing the pack to survive in a predatory world. This is implanted in your dog at a subconscious level, and it is very important in the first days of getting to know your domestic way of life to let the young dog know who the leader is here. Know, now your family is his pack. However, one does not need to dominate the pet. Give him the opportunity to find his own place. He should perceive you as a friend, followed by the last word in the conversation. Only after this moment should you try to establish friendships with the dog. If you were not able to reach the moment described in the previous paragraph, know that the result will be unpredictable behavior, frequent pranks, as well as the absolute unwillingness of your four-legged friend to take any commands.
Of course, we all understand that a young, inexperienced puppy, just starting to get to know the world, is rather ironic about commands like sitting or give a paw. You need to understand that the dog is able to well perceive short commands that you should not change to other ones during the training process, otherwise the dog will begin to perceive them as something else. It is not necessary, for example, to change the sitting command while training the dog for the sit command. I will explain why. Your dog does not perceive the word itself, but a set of sounds, and human speech itself is hardly interested in it. Try not to give the command strictly. This causes uncertainty in your four-legged. Know that instead of a harsh word, your student responds much better to a deep voice. Perhaps this can explain the fact that the most successful combination of a friend and educator is just a man.
The team should be interesting to perform, so you need to use small tricks that will give your pet an interest in performing. For example, hold his favorite toy or ball in his hands. An example often is a walk team. The dog begins to understand it much earlier than the others, because this word begins to indicate a certain degree of its freedom, namely the ability to escape from an apartment into a world full of smells and sounds.
Try to learn one rule, a young restless puppy, this is a lump of mischief, but not because of its uncontrollable character. Your dog has just begun to learn the world and it will take a lot of time before he begins to understand what can be done and what cannot. Please note that you cannot beat a dog at the stage of character formation, otherwise your dog will not be confident in himself even in a “cat showdown” in the yard, and this is not the best guarantee that someday your dog will not give you an insult. If the baby is guilty, try to explain everything to him in a calm, deep voice using emphasis on the sounds. This will be a much more effective means than the usual dog-slap, incomprehensible to the dog. And in conclusion of all the above, I want to say that this practice is tested on a dog, which is the pride of our family, and wears the nickname Gina.
